I was supposed to run 4 miles today, but my friend Jaime had to run 8 miles. Therefore, we kind of agreed that 6 miles was good enough for both.
First mile was our warm up mile then we ran 4 tempo miles (avg of 7:40mpm), then the last one was our cool down mile. |

Ran my first marathon (Miami ING). I did great during my first half (on average of 8:20 pace). However, then my legs started to cramp at around mile 16, so it all went down hill from there. I had to walk most of the remaining 10 miles. I finished with a time of 4:34 minutes. Way above the time that I wanted to make. Well but I guess that we all live and learn. I did many things leading up to this race. The last 5 weeks of my training I slacked off way too much. I missed my two 22 milers, and I also missed my 8 miles 2 weeks before the race. Also I did not hydrate enough the days before the race. Now I know that I am not 20 anymore. |

| | Ran my second marathon. I was going for 3:50, but somewhere around mile 18 I started to slow down. My legs started to get really tired. Then around mile 26 I got a cramp in my left hamstring. I had to stop completely for about 5 minutes. My finished time was 4:20. I need to find something to help me with the soreness while I am running, and also to help me avoid cramps during my marathons. |

Ran 8 miles at a very confortable pace. I am still on recovery mode, so I felt some pain in my right harmstring. Therefore, I slowed down even more. My next schedule marathon is not until October 11th, so I am going to take it easy for a couple of months. However, I am going to try to do some weight training in the mean time. |
